PUUT – Publicering och Utlåning.

PUUT är ett konstverk med utgångspunkt frånegenproducerade artists books vilka tillsammans blir ett bibliotek .I och med formatet skapas möjligheter till möte med konsten.Konsten ställer frågor kring samtidens (påtvingade ?) mönster vadgäller flexibilitet och anpassning utefter förutsättningar.Konstnären intar roller som grafisk formgivare, fotograf,bibliotikarie, arkivarie, designer tryckare och formgivare avbibliotekets fysiska form. Relationen konstnär – besökareundersöks, samtida konstnärlig praxis utforskas.

Flertaletböcker utgår i från Miljonprogrammet, där konstnären (KarlLarsson) har sedan 2003 fotograferat mer än två miljonerfotografier. Böckernas rent fysiska format baseras hur de produceras(enkelt i studion/ hemma) skapar ett ständigt tillflöde av titlartill biblioteket.

PUUT är en aktivt deltagande process, ennärvaro där mötet med konstverket är ett aktivt kulturutövandedär roller ifrågasätts.

PUUT – Publishing and Lending.
PUUT is a work of art based on self-produced artists' books, which together become a library. With the format, opportunities are created to meet the art. Art asks questions about contemporary (forced?) patterns in terms of flexibility and adaptation according to conditions. The artist takes on roles such as graphic designer, photographer, librarian, archivist, printer designer and designer of the physical form of the library. The relationship between artist and visitor is examined, contemporary artistic practice is explored.

Most of the books are based on the Miljon program, where the artist (Karl Larsson) has photographed more than two million photographs since 2003. The purely physical format of the books is based on how they are produced (simple in the studio/at home) creating a constant influx of titles to the library.

PUUT is an active participatory process, a presence where the encounter with the artwork is an active cultural exercise where roles are questioned.
